Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use TubeKit
Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of tubekit.app and its tools ("TubeKit"). By using TubeKit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use TubeKit.
YouTube Terms of Service
TubeKit uses YouTube API Services. By using TubeKit, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled, and Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
No Affiliation
TubeKit is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.
Use of TubeKit
You can use most of TubeKit for free, without an account, for personal purposes. Some tools, such as the transcript downloader and the comment tools, include a free daily allowance; using more requires an account and credits (see below). You agree not to:
- Send automated or bulk requests, or try to get around rate limits, daily quotas or bot checks
- Create multiple accounts or use other means to collect extra free allowances or sign-up credits
- Interfere with or disrupt TubeKit or the services it relies on
- Use TubeKit to break any law or anyone else's rights, including YouTube's terms
We may limit or block access to protect the service.
Accounts
You can sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in your account settings; unused credits are lost when you do, and deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription, so cancel it first.
Subscriptions and Credits
Paid plans are sold by Waffo Pancake, which acts as our Merchant of Record. Waffo processes your payment, charges any applicable taxes and issues your receipts, and its Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.
- Plans. Starter costs $4.99 per month or $39 per year and includes 300 credits each month. Pro costs $9.99 per month or $79 per year and includes 1,000 credits each month. Prices shown at checkout, including any taxes, are the ones that apply.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period and are charged to your payment method until you cancel.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active, and you keep your credits, until the end of the period you have paid for; it then does not renew.
- Credits. Plan credits are added each month (yearly plans also receive them monthly). They reset each month and do not roll over. New accounts get 20 free credits that expire after 30 days. Each tool's page shows how many credits it uses. Currently, one credit gets the transcript of one video, or 200 comments in the comment tools (rounded up). Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money.
- Automatic credit refunds. If a video has no captions, does not exist, or its transcript could not be fetched, the credit is returned to your balance automatically. In the comment tools, credits for comments that could not be read, including when comments are turned off, are also returned.
- Payment refunds. Refund requests for payments are handled by Waffo under its Buyer Terms. You can also contact us and we will help.
- Changes. We may change plan prices or what a plan includes. Changes apply from your next billing period, and we will tell you in advance. We may also change the free allowances and how many credits each tool uses. If a tool will use more credits, we will tell you in advance; credits you have already spent are not affected.
Results
Results such as playlist lengths come from data provided by YouTube at the time of your request. Videos can be removed or changed at any time, so results may be incomplete or out of date.
Transcripts
Transcripts are the captions published with each video on YouTube. They belong to the video's creator or other rights holders, not to TubeKit or to you. You may use transcripts you download for personal purposes, such as reading, study, research or note-taking. If you want to republish or otherwise use a transcript commercially, you are responsible for getting permission from the rights holder. Some transcripts are generated automatically by YouTube and may contain errors.
Disclaimer
TubeKit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TubeKit will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use TubeKit after a change means you accept the new Terms.
